Detection Principle

The HVD Ab colloidal gold kit uses immunochromatography. Its test strip has immobilized antigens on the nitrocellulose membrane. When equine serum/plasma is added, if HVD Ab is present, it binds to colloidal - gold - labeled antigens in the conjugate pad. The complex migrates along the membrane. A positive result shows a red - purple test line where the complex binds to immobilized antigens, and a control line validates the test.
