Mycoplasma of turtles is a microorganism that can infect turtles. It is sized between bacteria and viruses, has diverse morphologies, and lacks a cell wall.

Mycoplasma of turtles mainly invades the respiratory tract, eyes, and skin of turtles. When there is a respiratory - tract infection, turtles will exhibit abnormal breathing, such as rapid breathing or making abnormal sounds. Eye infections will cause redness and swelling of the eyes and an increase in secretions, and in severe cases, it may affect vision. The damage to the skin is manifested as skin inflammation, such as erythema and ulcers. Its main transmission routes are through direct contact, for example, during the mutual crowding and fighting among turtles, and it may also be indirectly transmitted through contaminated water and breeding utensils, which poses a great threat to the health, growth, and development of turtles.

Clinical Application:

· Early - stage Diagnosis:
In the early stage of turtle mycoplasma infection, the symptoms may be mild, only manifested as slight respiratory changes or small - area skin inflammation. Nucleic acid detection kits can detect mycoplasma nucleic acid at this stage, discovering the infection earlier than the traditional method of observing clinical symptoms. For example, it can be detected when a turtle has a small amount of eye secretions or a slight increase in the respiratory rate, which is helpful for early intervention and treatment.

· Health Screening of Turtle Herds:
Regular use of nucleic acid detection kits in turtle herds can monitor the infection status of turtle mycoplasma. For large - scale turtle farms, through the detection of turtles in different areas of turtle ponds, of different species, and of different ages, the infection rate and epidemic trends can be grasped in a timely manner, providing data support for formulating prevention and control strategies.

Revolutionizing Canine Leptospirosis Detection with PCR
In the realm of veterinary medicine, few diseases demand as much attention as leptospirosis—a zoonotic bacterial infection that poses a significant threat to both dogs and humans. Endemic worldwide, this disease is transmitted through contact with urine-contaminated water or soil, often leading to severe kidney and liver damage, pulmonary hemorrhage, and even death. Early and accurate diagnosis is critical for effective treatment and preventing transmission. However, traditional diagnostic methods have long posed challenges—until now.
