How does a cdv cpv test kit work?

Sample Collection: A small sample is collected from the dog, such as a fecal sample for Parvovirus or a swab from the nasal or ocular discharge for Distemper.

Antigen Detection: The sample is applied to the test device. The test utilizes specific antibodies to detect the presence of antigens (proteins) produced by the viruses.

Positive Result: If the virus is present, a visible line will appear on the test device, indicating a positive result for either or both viruses.

Negative Result: If no virus is detected, no line will appear, indicating a negative result.

Important Notes:

These tests are rapid but may not always be 100% accurate.

A positive result should always be confirmed by a veterinarian through further diagnostic tests.

These tests are not a substitute for proper vaccination and preventive measures.
