Rabbit hemorrhagic disease is an acute and highly fatal infectious disease caused by rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus, also known as rabbit plague.

This virus mainly attacks domestic rabbits. Rabbits of different breeds and ages may be infected, but adult rabbits have a higher morbidity and mortality rate. The clinical symptoms are obvious. The body temperature of sick rabbits rises, they become depressed, and their appetite decreases or is completely lost. The most typical symptoms are lesions in the respiratory system, such as difficulty in breathing and the flow of bloody fluid from the nasal cavity. Rabbit hemorrhagic disease spreads extremely rapidly, mainly through contact transmission, such as direct contact between healthy rabbits and sick rabbits, and contact with feed, drinking water, and utensils contaminated by the virus.

Clinical Application:

· Early - stage Diagnosis:
After infection with rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus, during the incubation period and the early stage of the disease, the clinical symptoms may not be obvious. Nucleic acid detection kits can quickly and accurately detect the viral nucleic acid at this stage. For example, when a rabbit's body temperature just starts to rise and typical symptoms such as obvious difficulty in breathing have not yet appeared, the presence of the virus can be detected, thus achieving early - stage diagnosis and gaining precious time for subsequent treatment and prevention and control.

· Adjustment of Treatment Plans:
During the treatment of rabbits infected with rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus, nucleic acid detection kits can be used to monitor the changes in the viral nucleic acid load. If the detection results show that the amount of viral nucleic acid has not decreased or has instead increased, it indicates that the current treatment drugs or plans may be ineffective and need to be adjusted in a timely manner, such as replacing antiviral drugs or changing the treatment dosage.

Revolutionizing Canine Leptospirosis Detection with PCR
In the realm of veterinary medicine, few diseases demand as much attention as leptospirosis—a zoonotic bacterial infection that poses a significant threat to both dogs and humans. Endemic worldwide, this disease is transmitted through contact with urine-contaminated water or soil, often leading to severe kidney and liver damage, pulmonary hemorrhage, and even death. Early and accurate diagnosis is critical for effective treatment and preventing transmission. However, traditional diagnostic methods have long posed challenges—until now.
